"We did a 4-day-trek in the Simiens with Dawoud in January 2020. Everything was impeccably organised, it all worked like a charm. Dawoud knows just about everything about Ethiopia and it's nature, birds, history, society and culture. He is also very knowledgeable about things going on outside Ethiopia. That makes it very interesting to spend time with him. During our 4 days in the Simiens, other tour guides and tourists often asked him for more information on just about everything, because he knew so much more than all the others. He has great people to help him (for example an excellent cook). On top of that he is simply a extremely nice, interesting and helpful guy with a great sense of humour. "I did a four day tour with my friend and his daughter in the simiens with Dawoud and his team. It was a great trip and we were very well looked after. The views are stunning and we were lucky to have a 10 minute encounter with a large troop of Gelada monkeys and a sighting of an Ethiopian wolf. Fantastic.
