Day 1: Addis Ababa-Awash National Park

Drive to Awash National park via the rift valley lakes and of Bishiftu near Debre Zeyet. Conduct an evening game drive in the park as there might a chance to see hyenas.

Day2: Awash National park –Dire Dawa

In the morning, you will be driven in the park for a game drive and continue driving for Drie Dawa. En-route, you would have a chance to see the Harargae plateau and “Chat” plantation along the road. You would arrive in Dire Dawa in the afternoon and visit the local market. Overnight, Dire Dawa.

Day3: drive Dire Dawa- Harrar

Take a visit of an old Islamic influence city and the prominent place, Jegoel compound. The market are also very lovely here in Harrar, so that, it is worth taking the advantage to visit it. You also need to see the home of Arthur Rimbuad, renowned French poet who worked and lived in Harrar as a gun runner in the 19^th century. Visit the national and Harrari Museum, the house of Ras Mekonnen (the father of Haile Selassie) and the beautiful Harrari home. In the evening, you would visit the hyena man and feed the hyena. Overnight, Harrar.

Day4: keep visiting Harrar and take an excursion to visit homes in the cliff side village of Koremi. Overnight, Hotel in Harrar.

Day5: Harrar – Addis Ababa via Dire Dawa

Drive to Dire Dawa taking a short stop to see the largest “Chat” market in Aweday. Once you arrive in Dire Dawa, you will check in the airport and fly back to Addis Ababa. If you have sometime left, you can go for shopping in Addis Ababa. In the evening, you will be transferred to the airport for your departure back home.
